So maybe you've played through some of the stories/games on the site and are thinking you'd like to make your favourite ideas come to life to share with others. The good news it that it couldn't be simpler!
Kinkbase is built on top of an open source tool called Drystone. which allows anybody to create "choose your own" style stories and games. Drystone. isn't specifically made for creating NSFW stories, but rather gives you the tools to create whatever you would like.
There is a hosted version of the Drystone Editor that can be used to create your application, it does not require any sign up and is stored entirely in your browser. This does mean that if you change device you won't be able to access your work in progress.
Once you have created an app you are happy with using the Drystone editor, export the app to a .zip file; you now have two options available in terms of distributing it to other people.
You are free to share this Zip file with whomever you like, and even upload it to your own website/google drive. Users can download your zip file and head to the following address:
https://player.drystone.studio
From here, all they need to do is select the zip file and the application should play. You can also use this method if you'd like to fully play test your application before releasing it to the world!
Pros:If you choose to upload your app to Kinkbase, you'll get a few extra features that you might find useful, especially if you want to make a couple of applications and keep them in one place.
Instead of having players manually download and upload a .zip file in the Drystone player, you can simply link users to your Kinkbase app and it will be automatically playable through Kinkbase. No messing around with .zip files.
You'll also be able to get insights into how many people clicked to play your app, access to ratings and the ability to upload revised versions of your application if you make future additions. (coming soon)
Pros:Take a bit of time to explore the site and play some of the apps available. Remember, you don't need an account to play through apps on Kinkbase.
